Your role:As an Assembly Fitter, youll play a critical role in our MRO operations, assembling and testing single aisle family landing gears. Youll work as part of a diverse team to complete the required quantity of shipsets per week to meet our customers expectations.Key responsibilities:•Assemble and test nose and forestay, main gears and sidestays for aerospace landing gear, with quality being at a high level.•Continuous improvement on improving the quality and efficiency of both the assembly and test of the units.•Deliver a product in line with quality, cost, and delivery.

Job Requirements:

What you'll need:•Advanced level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship gained within an Engineering, Manufacturing or Technical discipline•Knowledge of working with and assembling aircraft Landing Gears (desirable)•Experience in reading component maintenance manuals, drawings, engineering layouts and additions to the original design such as Service Bulletins, Service Letters and Airworthiness Directives•Ability to build and test complex sub-assemblies and Landing gears complete•Ability to use a wide range of precision measuring and test equipment•Responsibility and confidence to sign and stamp off own work for safe release back into flight service in line with all relevant build documentation (after training)At Safran, we understand that diversity and inclusion make teams stronger and more effective, and as an organisation, we are committed to fair and equitable employment practices for everyone.We also know that some candidates may be put off applying for jobs where they don't meet 100% of the criteria outlined in the advert, however, we encourage anybody to apply if you can demonstrate a variety of skills and experience relevant to the requirements of this role.
