We are seeking a Structures Mechanic that alters, repairs, replaces sheet metal and fabricates sheet metal repairs for aircraft structures, such as wings, fuselage, floats, rigging and surface controls, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, rivet gun, and drills.
Position Duties:
1. Fabricate, install, and alter sheet metal and structural components in compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, service letters, structural repair manuals, maintenance manuals, and AC43-13.
2. Collaborate with inspection department to ensure compliance to airworthiness requirements are complied with.
3. Ensure maintenance activities are properly signed off daily on repair station discrepancy sheets and checklists.
4. Reads and interprets manufacturers and STC holder’s manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of altering, repairing or replacing aircraft or components.
