The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia are currently recruiting for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) as a part of the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) program in Nowra, NSW. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) you willbe responsible for maintenance and modification of the EC135 Mechanical systems and associated equipment.
Responsibilities
- Aircraft flight-line handling and servicing duties
- Removal and installation of aircraft components
- Disassembly and reassembly of aircraft components
- Preparation and use of aircraft support equipment and inspection
- Maintenance, servicing, repair and fault diagnosis of components and systems operating in both the line maintenance and base maintenance environments.
Experience/Qualifications
- Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical);
- Promoting a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with EH&S policies and procedures.
- Ensuring all maintenance tasks carried out are IAW the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and certified in the maintenance documentation.Previous experience working on rotary wing aircraft
- Ability to successfully interact with co-workers, maintaining productive working relationships to meet team, business unit, and organisational goals;
- Flexibility with working hours and locations;
- Hold or be able to obtain a “Baseline” Security Clearance as per Defence Department requirements; and
Desirable Criteria
- Current B1.3 MAML or the ability to obtain
- Cert IV Structures
- Previous experience working on rotary wing aircraft
- EC135 series Aircraft Type course
- Safran Arrius B2 line 1 and 2 maintenance training
Security Clearance/Eligibility
You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Baseline) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
