This position is responsible for the inspection, repair, maintenance and return to service, or the supervision of such activities for AeroGuard owned and / or operated aircraft in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s). Relocation assistance is available for this position.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform and or supervise the performance of inspections, routine servicing, preventative and corrective maintenance on company aircraft as specified by FAR’s.
- Ensure maintenance and maintenance documentation is accomplished within the guidelines of AeroGuard inspection procedures manuals (IPM’s) for aircraft that qualify.
- Coordinate and work with the Director of Maintenance to ensure aircraft are in compliance with applicable Federal Regulations.
- Ensure the proper training of maintenance personnel, for the level of maintenance to be performed and general safety practices to include available firefighting equipment.
- Ensure required technical data is current and available to all maintenance personnel.
- Ensure required tooling and equipment are available and in good working order, to include calibration, if required.
- Ensure a safe, clean and organized hangar / shop area is available for the maintenance of aircraft.
- Maintain a supply of approved parts on station, as to ensure the timely repair and servicing of aircraft to minimize down-time. Inventory of such parts shall be kept to a minimum to avoid “stockpiling” causing financial strain on the company.
- Must have a basic set of hand tools to accomplish standard servicing and maintenance on G.A. aircraft.
- Responsible for ensuring periodic checks of the fire and safety equipment to ensure serviceability and adequacy.
The Maintenance Manager may delegate duties and responsibilities to any qualified company personnel. Delegation of duties does not relieve the Maintenance Manager of his / her overall responsibilities.
1.0 REQUIREMENTS
2.1 EDUCATION
- FAA issued Airframe and Powerplant certificate in good standing.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2.2 EXPERIENCE
- Must have minimum of 5 years General Aviation Maintenance experience
- Maintenance Manager experience preferred.
2.3 SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify problems or potential problems and develop / implement solutions.
3.0 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- The associate will be working in many environments inside and outside of the facility.
- Associates will have exposure to aircraft, flight training devices and other equipment.
- This position requires the utilization of most types of aircraft that AeroGuard Flight Training Center incorporates in its programs.
- The position may require some medium lifting up to 50lbs.
- Position may require prolonged periods of sitting or standing as well as bending and stooping.
- Some out-of-state travel may be required.
