Twin Cities Aviation is a family owned and operated aircraft maintenance service business in operation since 1997, focused on EXCELLENCE and QUALITY SERVICE. TCA is an FAAPart 145 Repair Station, as well as a Cirrus and Icon Certified Service Center.
Job Summary:
• The Chief Inspector is primarily responsible for Quality Control, Inspections,
Compliance and Training, including:
- Part 145 Repair Station Compliance & Training
- Ensure all Part 145 Repair Station Manual policies and procedures are
followed.
- Assurance that FAR’s related to Aircraft Maintenance are incorporated
into 145 Repair Station Manual Procedures
- Conduct Employee training (e.g. OJT, coursework, etc.)
• Technician write-up/sign-off audit & continuous training
- Aircraft/Engine/Component Manual availability, currency
- Periodic self-audits
- Tooling calibration
- Subcontracted vendor approval/audit
- Receiving inspection (parts)
- Shelf-life management (parts)
- Parts documentation management (tagging)
- Ensure all Factory Service Center requirements are established and adhered to (from a maintenance/operations standpoint).
- Aircraft Inspections including detailed visual, FPI (10x)
- Logbook (Records) Research and Documentation
- ATF Policy and Procedure Compliance
- Facilities safety and compliance management
- Environmental process requirement compliance (e.g. EPA, etc.)
- OSHA Documentation, Policy and Procedure Compliance
- Aircraft Database Updates
- Participation in aircraft maintenance, including:
- 100 Hour/Annual Inspections
- Progressive Maintenance
- Troubleshooting & Unscheduled Maintenance of Mechanical and
Electrical systems.
- Engine Removal/Replacement
- Composite and Metallic Structural Repairs
- Avionics Software Updates
- Aircraft jacking, lifting, towing and manual movement

Job Qualifications:
• Minimum Education: Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) possessing a current Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
• Minimum Experience: 10+ Years in related aviation maintenance field.
• Must have your own set of tools
• Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening and background checks mandatory

• Prepare professional correspondence (e.g. via email, chat, text, etc.)

• Familiarity with the use of aircraft specific tooling (e.g. timing box, sheetmetal brake/shears, pitot/static testing box, aircraft jacks & tail stands, etc.)

Work Environment:
• Regularly wear protective gear, such as gloves or ear muffs.
