Job Description SummaryThe Supplier Readiness Leader will provide technical support to the Shared Hardware Solution commodity team and analyze supplier capability to supply for long range (up to 3 years) demand. Primary focus includes evaluating supplier capabilities, identifying supplier constraints, and proactively deploying enterprise problem solving for overall commodity readiness and performance. Key outcomes include advising sub-commodity part family strategies, leading action plans with suppliers to resolve gaps for long-term supplier health, and collaborating with the Supplier Teams to execute plans that ensure continuity of supply.

This role requires a broad understanding of the commodity strategy and identifying technical requirements to enable strategy execution. Further, leverage this knowledge to define and prioritize risks and steer supplier focus on assessment requirements. Strong organizational and project management aptitude will drive the actions that improve supplier ability to deliver across the long-range plan. Effective communication skills required to inform commodity execution today and influence future strategic direction. Knowledge of sourcing and supplier management best practices will facilitate integration with Supplier Team and others in sourcing and supply chain to deliver results. Strong relationship management skills are imperative for this role.

This role is open to remote consideration in OH, IN, KY and MI. If remote, this individual would need to travel to Evendale, OH at least quarterly and possibly monthly.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical reviews and provide leadership guidance to commodity team members for sub-commodity part families assigned to the role. Own sourcing specific processes and tools to demonstrate supplier readiness. Define and implement supplier development plans through the commodity for long-term success of the business.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of a commodity/market and analytical thinking to execute a readiness strategy for success. Contribute insight toward commodity strategy goals and policy development.
  • Use judgement to make decisions and/or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Solicit input from multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Provide new perspective on existing solutions. Use technical experience and analytical thinking to prioritize work and support recommendations.
  • Drive and deliver results on multiple projects that you own and/or support. Positively impact outcomes across the enterprise at the peer level.
  • Capable of presenting information and conclusions to multiple leadership levels within the business. Skilled influencer, able to synthesize information and communicate complex messages to others. Can explain difficult or sensitive information and develop skills to bring team members to consensus around topics.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Convey performance expectations and resolve issues accordingly.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Supply Chain Management / Sourcing / Operations & Manufacturing experience) + minimum of 5 years Supply Chain Management / Sourcing / Operations & Manufacturing.
