Summary:
Responsible for the inspection of components, subassemblies, and finished products. Able to determine the proper sampling plans based on Component Specifications, Inspection Plans or Customer supplied requirements. Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance. Must be able to work well in teams, both intra and inter department as a leader and contributor. Determine incoming inspection status (inductible or not inducible) and reason (F Condition, ROD).
Essential Functions:
- HS diploma / GED
- Computer skills a must
- Work independently with minimal guidance
- Good planning and decision-making skills
- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
- 1-2 years’ experience in aviation or MRO helpful
- Conduct internal audits of individuals and areas
- Perform incoming receiving for all assets/parts received
- Issue OIS paperwork and assets to production
- Issue assets into work
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished components, subassemblies and products
- Assist Quality and Engineering in investigations of process related quality issues;
- Determine ROD status and complete ROD form for box, info and component ROD’s
- Enter ROD data into WebSDR
- Track completion of CON’s, ROD’s, BER’s
- Review and support for closing of PQDR’s

Education/Experience:
- Must have/ demonstrate scientific problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge and familiarity with manufacturing techniques and inspection equipment: micrometers, calipers, height gage, indicators, gage pins, etc.
- Knowledge of visual inspection techniques.
- Knowledge of MISTR assets.
Pay range: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
