Job Summary: The position of Pneumatic Technician is responsible for mechanical and/or electrical and/or hydraulic testing of materials, devices and products, sample preparation, test fixturing and general test equipment maintenance. The technician is also responsible for complying with quality systems and procedures as stated in the process bulletins and specifications.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and provide accurate information and communication with manufacturing and engineering
• Comply with all safety recommendations and requirements
• Always maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Administer and monitor a variety of tests to comply with customers requirements
• Assemble and disassemble hydraulic powered test stands using pneumatic and manual tools
• Technician will engage in generating and implementing ideas and processes to help the continuous improvement of various projects, while utilizing and managing all possible resources so that department goals are met and exceeded
• The technician is required to complete a supervised training program as well as read and understand any pertinent training or department procedural manuals.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma GED
• Must be able to work legally in the US.
• Prior Pneumatic experience
• Ability to read and decipher drawings and specifications
• Solid knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Must be able to read/comprehend, write, communicate orally and analyze data
• Experience with use of hand tools and data acquisition in the area employed
• Attention to detail is a must
• Ability to quickly comprehend industry-related technical terms
• Work independently and manage multiple tasks as part of a team
• Ability to work well with others - a team player
• Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position.

Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and/or hydraulics a plus.
• Experience with test apparatus control and data acquisition hardware and software
• Fabrication or machining skills are highly valued


Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to use hands and arms for repetitive movements, such as movement of wrists, hands, fingers while typing.
• May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
