Job Description:

Purpose:

Citadel Completions Materials Planner supports and reports to the Materials Planning Manager. The Materials Planner role encompasses the procurement of materials, goods, services, and equipment required for various type of Aircraft as well as requirements for all other departments within the company. The Materials Planner shall always keep the best interest of the company and the customer in mind while executing business goals and must do so with integrity. Materials Planner will always represent Citadel Completions in a professional manner.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the planning and administration, at optimum balance of cost, quality, and supplier service of materials required to support aircraft maintenance.
  • Communicate and resolve Aircraft material issues with Engineering, Maintenance, Maintenance Planning, and Quality Control.
  • Perform material requirements planning through high interaction/coordination with manufacturing personnel and external suppliers.
  • Research and prepare bid specifications and material cost.
  • Investigate and cultivate new sources for supplies and products.
  • Working with Procurement on entering purchase orders and following up on open PO’s.
  • Procure and document aircraft and non-aircraft related goods/materials in accordance with all laws governmental regulations using company methods and processes and following company approval and authorization policy guidelines.
  • Identify and select vendors and suppliers using criteria such as quantity and quality of commodities, price, and delivery data.
  • Execute, monitor and expedite Purchase Orders.
  • Assist in the development and execution of WSA’s, NDA’s and MSA’s.
  • Participate in the development of company and customer needs, specifications, proposals, and selection of vendors.
  • Solve problems with orders in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Planning Department and the company.
  • Coordinate with requestors any specifications for requirements.
  • Report issues regarding vendor performance, cost, quality and delivery to Director of Planning and Sales Support.
  • Work with other departments to assist in the management of inventory requirements, level of stock and one-time purchases.

 

Minimum Qualifications or Experience:

  • 5+ years Materials Planning experience.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration, or technical field.

 

Preferred Qualifications or Experience:

     • Aviation Industry experience. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
