Job Summary:
Avfuels global network includes a fueling network of over 3,000 worldwide locations and over 650 Avfuel Branded Dealers throughout North America and Europe. Avfuel is securely and uniquely positioned in the industry, providing services to airlines, freight and cargo companies, corporate flight departments, airports and municipalities, fixed-based operators (FBOs), crop dusters, helicopters, and the military.
Were seeking a dispatcher to join our team who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively with a team, and who has a passion for making a direct impact for customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receive calls from customers, and process and place fuel orders
- Initiate contact to carriers, terminals and follow up with customers
- Responsible for maintaining a particular territory of customers
- Typical working hours are 12pm-9pm Monday-Friday with the occasional weekends as needed
- On call support (responding from home) may be needed. Were seeking a flexible team player who is focused on serving our customers needs.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma required
- College degree preferred
- Dispatch experience preferred
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Data entry with speed and accuracy
- Usage and familiarity with computerized software package
- Logistics experience and approach for problem solving
- Organization and adaptation with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and inter-personal skills with customers, carriers and co-workers
- Timely, immediate action and follow-through
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.
