Job Description:
The department is responsible for compiling and reporting the Aerojet Rocketdyne segment financial forecasts and a variety of management analyses. The position will support all efforts related to the income statement, inclusive of the sector OSP (Orders, Sales, and Profit), Segment HQ, and SG&A. The goal is to ensure forecasts and financial information and analyses are timely, accurate, and informative. The position will also support senior leadership across the L3Harris organization. Examples of the expected tasks would be preparation, review and analysis of the segment; including preparation of the monthly management reports, preparation and review of various metrics, and various ad hoc analyses.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for creating, analyzing, and consolidating Income Statement and Program Forecasts, Risk and Opportunities, Orders drivers, and various ad hoc analysis.
- Support the various monthly reports to include the Monthly Financial Review, Quarterly Operational Review, Annual Operating Plan, Joint Strategic Plan, and any other financial reviews.
- Work closely with Sector CFOs and Analysts on all aspects of forecasting to ensure accuracy of data and provide guidance as necessary.
- Collaborrate with the FP&A team, Segment CFO, and cross-functional stakeholders to report the strength of the business and provide status on key performance indicators.
- Develop, communicate, and recommend action plans to ensure closure to forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- 3-8 years experience in finance or accounting, and program environment is desired.
- Must have strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Must be self-directed, proactive, and possess leadership skills.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Experience with Excel is required.
- Oracle, Hyperion/Smartview, and PowerPoint experience is a plus.
