Delta Vacations is seeking an experienced Finance Executive to guide the financial health and operational planning and performance for the Enterprise. The VP, Finance and Controller, will collaborate with Senior Executive team, Delta Partners, and Finance Stakeholders to support the growth vision for the organization.
The successful candidate will help guide the long-term business outlook and strategic planning across the commercial and operational teams. This includes leading the current functions across finance, tax, compliance, budget, treasury, and accounting, while identifying opportunities for continuous financial improvement in alignment with operational, employee, and customer goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees all financial planning, analysis and accounting activities related to business units within Delta Vacations including Revenue Management, Distribution, Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations and HR.
- Drives planning initiatives across the enterprise, including the annual plan and budget, 3–5-year plan development and evolution, and partnering with divisional leads to implement these plans.
- Leads the financial reporting process with enhanced visibility to progress toward plans, while ensuring financial rigor and expanding analytics capabilities across the team.
- Facilitates the financial relationship with Delta, defining opportunities for alignment with broader commercial and operational contributions and guidance toward joint goals.
- Directs financial and accounting control processes, ensuring compliance with financial reporting and governmental regulations.
- Guides the preparation and communication of Delta Vacations financial statements, while identifying opportunities for improved financial outcomes.
- Manages the revenue and expense recognition process in accordance with US GAAP and ensure proper validation of balance sheet integrity.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent people and leadership skills and outstanding communication skills:
- Proven leadership experience, especially developing and mentoring geographically diverse teams, removing roadblocks to drive focus, and aligning resources in support of strategic priorities and growth.
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of airline and travel industry. Operates with an enterprise view, identifying impacts and tradeoffs. Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support a deep understanding of a complex business and its key levers.
- Forward thinking, eager to learn, and proactive in identifying risks and opportunities. Works through challenges and finds innovative solutions.
- Structured approach to planning the work and improving processes across teams. Able to manage priorities, identify workflow enhancements, and navigate tradeoffs with the skill to plan and execute processes that drive increased value.
- Strong collaborator with the ability to engage with senior executives and influence through relationships. Leverage connections across the network to align Vacations opportunities with the broader goals of the Delta enterprise.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Experience producing presentations and packages with a cohesive story for an executive and enterprise audience. Identify opportunities in a succinct and clear way. Balances detailed analysis with alignment to strategic objectives.
- At least 10 years of work experience in progressive roles, with preference for experience operating in Delta Finance.
- Bachelors degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
