What are your contributions to the team?
- MRB Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality, to resolve material and structural issues identified during production or in-service.
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, providing technical guidance and recommendations.
- Analyze stress reports, non-conformities, and deviations, proposing effective solutions to maintain airworthiness.
- Work closely with DADs to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Structural Analysis:
- Conduct detailed stress analysis using finite element methods (FEM) and classical hand calculations.
- Evaluate structural components, assemblies, and modifications.
- Assess fatigue life, static strength, and damage tolerance.
- Identify critical areas and propose design improvements.
- Technical Documentation:
- Prepare stress reports, compliance documents, and engineering change requests (ECRs).
- Document findings, assumptions, and methodologies.
- Maintain accurate records for certification purposes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to enhance stress analysis tools and methodologies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization.
How to thrive in this role?
• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in stress analysis for aircraft structures.
• Proficiency in FEM software (such as Nastran, Abaqus, or Ansys).
• Familiarity with aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, Transport Canada).
