Sustaining Engineer I (Full Time)
Department: All Openings, Engineering

Provide modeling and drafting support to the Sustaining Engineering department:

Produce Drawing Change Incorporations, model updates and Engineering Orders (EO) on current production aircraft in support of production improvements and the resolution of open Corrective Actions.

Refer to the drafting room manual to ensure compatibility with Company requirements.

Generate and modify 2D and 3D CAD models in the support of drawing and EO release

Interact with Quality Inspection, Quality Engineering, Liaison Engineering, Materials & Process Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve issues in production in order to improve efficiency and profitability.

Incorporate outstanding Type Design data.

Update Piper Specifications, Process Specification, Material Specifications and Purchase Item Approval forms in support of manufacturing improvements.

Perform other related duties as required

Experience with Siemens Teamcenter and Unigraphics NX software preferred

Additional requirements specific to this position:

Requires a bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

Candidates shall be capable of working in diverse team environments including interacting with members of multiple engineering groups and manufacturing personnel.
