Under the direction of the Manager, HR Transformation, the Specialist, Organizational Design and Classification is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing organizational design reviews, job evaluation processes, and total rewards. This role ensures competitive, fair, and legally compliant compensation practices and effective organizational structures that align with Company goals, collaborating with stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and enhance employee satisfaction through effective total rewards strategies and organizational design.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Organizational Analysis and Design:
-Supports organizational design initiatives, including, but not limited to assessing, developing, and redesigning organizational frameworks, structures, operating model, roles, job level requirements, and reporting structures.
-Collaborate with departments to develop organizational models that align with business objectives and growth strategies; and,
-Create detailed organizational charts, job descriptions, and reporting structures.
Job Evaluation and Analysis:
-Conduct job evaluations using established frameworks and methodologies.
Compensation Strategy and Design:
-Conduct spanet analysis to benchspan salaries and incentive plans; and,
-Evaluate and update compensation policies to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
Compliance and Reporting:
-Support the annual salary review process and ensure timely delivery of compensation data.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
-Work closely with Talent Acquisition, and other stakeholders to provide compensation expertise;
-Conduct training sessions and provide guidance on compensation, job evaluation and organizational design practices; and,
-Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support company goals.
Continuous Improvement:
-Monitor industry trends and best practices in total rewards and organizational design;
-Recommend and implement improvements to compensation programs and job evaluation processes, and organizational design; and,
-Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and improve compensation and organizational design strategies.
Talent Acquisition Support:
-Provide recruitment support to the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring a seamless hiring process
-Provide high level sourcing for niche and hard to fill roles
-Assist the Talent Acquisition team with job postings, candidate sourcing, interview scheduling, and other recruitment activities
-Conduct preliminary candidate screenings and maintain accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). - -Provide administrative support for recruitment processes, including offer letters, onboarding documents, and candidate communications
Skills & Qualifications
-Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field;
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation and job evaluation;
-Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada;
-Experience in designing and managing compensation programs in a corporate environment;
-In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulatory requirements;
-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders;
-Proven track record in sourcing/headhunting hard to fill roles;
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS system;
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
