You will be the Senior Network Engineer for the UGV Systems team. Our team is responsible for delivering advanced unmanned ground vehicle solutions that operate in GPS‑denied, subterranean, and contested environments.



What You Will Be Doing



As the Senior Network Engineer you will be responsible for leading the design, integration, and deployment of network‑centric capabilities that enable autonomous operations of unmanned ground vehicles.


Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Design, develop, test, and field UGV systems for GPS‑denied and subterranean missions.

  • Integrate advanced sensors and autonomy software into Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs).

  • Oversee deployment of MANETs to enable distributed robotic operations underground.

  • Support end‑to‑end development of navigation, sensor integration, and autonomous operations for CBRNE and threat‑detection missions.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure system reliability in contested environments.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer science or a related technical field.

Current Security Clearance: Secret or higher.

Prior experience supporting DTRA, SOCOM, or other defense R&D agencies.
Desired Skills:
Master Degree in Engineering
12 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of DoD acquisition, budgeting, and program management.
Previous experience serving U.S. Special Operations Command.
Familiar with GPS-denied navigation, sensor fusion, and tactical communication networks.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
