Position Summary

MAG is looking for a SATCOM Systems Engineer to support the Product Manager Wideband Enterprise Satellite System (PdM WESS) Product Officer Wideband Control (PO WC) Wideband Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Trending and Anomaly Resolution Subsystem (WSTARS) subsystem. The ideal candidate will be tasked with delivering recommendations and solutions utilizing their proven expertise. This role is remote, but will require travel due to all testing taking place at the Tobyhanna Army Depot in Pennsylvania.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Study and understand all current and upcoming WSTARS system requirements, including both fine-level details and overarching strategic goals, and communicate this information effectively to teammates, PO, Deputy PO (DPO), Assistant Project Manager (APM), and stakeholders
  • Communicate with the system developer/vendor to ensure clear understanding of system requirements
  • May travel up to 30
Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Must have experience with design, development, testing and fielding of complex satellite control systems. These include planning, monitoring and payload control
  • Must have background and demonstrated experience in compliance with Army, department of Defense (DoD) or other Government Information Systems and Information Assurance policies
  • The ability to provide clear, engineering-level reviews of vendor-provided data to assist the Government in determining whether sub-system design meets Government requirements
  • Must have a clear understanding of and demonstrated experience with the Government Software Lifecycle process to ensure the Government receives the necessary output from the vendor through Contract Deliverables (CDRLs) and other submitted documentation
  • In-depth knowledge of SATCOM / Communications

The minimum years of related experience required: 10

Education

  • The minimum level of education required is: Bachelors Degree in related field

Desired Requirements

  • System level qualification testing of complex software systems
  • Managing quarterly Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) patching processes
  • Review complex system design documentation
  • Provide practical advice to leadership to formulate course of action
  • Served as Product Owner of various technical AGILE scrum teams to include backlog planning, sprint planning, sprint review and sprint retrospectives
