What are your contributions to the team?
- Provide engineering support to Operations on Bombardier multi-platform aircraft programs (Challenger 3500 / 650 and Global 5500 / 6500 / 7500).
- Resolve non-conformities on fit, form or functional issues on Aircraft parts/sub-assemblies and provide repair instructions required during the fabrication and assembly.
- Provide technical support and MRB dispositions to Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) raised by Quality to resolve aircraft airframe and systems problems.
- Work in close cooperation with other disciplines such as Stress, Materials & Processes, Systems, Flight Science, Design, Project, Programs, Methods, Quality, Operations and Logistic to achieve objectives of delivery and product quality.
- Participate in projects that aim to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve financial performance.
- Interpret Engineering Drawings and Specifications.
- Work schedule is day.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a Bachelor of Engineering degree or College (3 year) technical diploma in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- You have a minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience in a Material Review Board (MRB) environment with airframe structure repairs.
- You have the desire and capability to obtain Engineering MRB delegation after a period of on-the-job training.
- You are familiar with metallic and composite aircraft structures as well as aircraft system installation.
- You have experience dispositioning nonconformances in aerospace, an asset.
- You must be a team player with a collaborative approach.
- You are flexible and comfortable working under pressure with a minimum of supervision.
- You have sound technical judgement and a practical approach.
- You have good oral and written communication skills in English.
- You know how to browse Engineering mockups in Catia v5.
