What are your contributions to the team?
- Model Masterlines surfaces (wing, fuselage, stabilizer, cockpit, ice shapes, etc.) for all Bombardier Aerospace products;
- Design parametric models to simulate the deployment of systems and control surfaces (flap, slat, spoiler, rudder, etc.);
- Correct Masterlines surfaces problems and improve its quality (tangency, curvature distribution);
- Reconstruct surfaces from scans and cloud of points data;
- Ensure effective management of assigned design activities by closely working with other engineering departments, including Advanced Aerodynamics, Advanced Design and Advanced Structures.
- Maintain the aircraft CAD model to the latest configuration and ensure its distribution to the rest of the team.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a University degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience in the aviation industry;
- You have good knowledge of CATIA V5 with use of the following workbench: Generative Shape Design, Digitized Shape Editor, Quick Surface Reconstruction, Part Design, Assembly Design, Knowledge Ware, Generative Shape Optimizer and Freestyle;
- Experience with Enovia is required, Siemens Team Center is an asset;
- You have good knowledge of multi-model link management within CATIA V5;
- You know VBA programming language;
- You have knowledge in aerodynamics;
- You have knowledge in aerospace design;
- You have knowledge of Siemens’ NX software;
- You are a team player, working in a multidisciplinary team and can demonstrate good organizational skills;
- You work autonomously with initiative and proactivity;
- You have good communication skills including good English and French writing and verbal skills.
