Within the Electrical Engineering Career Path, you will start your journey by building-up your technical knowledge through rotations in up to 5 of the following teams over a 2-year period:

- Electrical Systems Integration (ELEC)
- Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC)
- Cabin Systems & Interiors (INT)
- Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS)
- Flight Test
- Operation Support (Production line engineering support)
- Service Engineering
What are your contributions to the team?
- Learn and work on airplane systems and functions such as: avionics (autopilot, navigation & communication systems, displays and indication/maintenance & recording systems), software integration, electrical power generation and distribution systems (generators, converters, batteries, power and distribution centers), electro-magnetic compatibility (bonding, electrostatic discharge, lightning effects, fuel tank ignition prevention, HIRF), Interior cabin systems and wiring design, Reliability Maintainability and Safety (system functional hazard analysis, aircraft & system fault tree analysis, system safety assessment) etc.
- Participate in technical multi-disciplinary collaborations aimed at defining and certifying novel design solutions & improvements for our existing and future airplanes (i.e. emissions reduction, costs, weight, performance, customer satisfaction, new regulation compliance, R&T/R&D, etc.)
- Prepare or review engineering documentation for our Challenger 3500/650 and Global 5500/6500/7500 airplanes (i.e. Electrical wiring interconnect diagrams, test procedures, test reports, system functional hazard analysis, certification documentation, requirement definition validation and verification summaries, aircraft configuration documents, etc)
- Troubleshoot, test, simulate or analyze technical anomalies on either production or in-service aircrafts, or to mature novel technologies or support design changes (i.e. testing on aircraft or on test bench)
- Support or lead activities and deliverables with our suppliers for testing, validation, verification and ultimately certification of an optimized design solutions to our airplanes systems.
- Contribute to the improvement of our processes and to capture the best practices for the Electrical, Wiring, Cabin Interior, Avionic, Electromagnetic, Software integration or RMAS knowledge domain.
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:
- You have less than 2 years of post-graduation work experience
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Avionics, Electrical, Computer science or other related field)—completed in 2023 or will be completed by May 2025
- You have a passion and unrelenting desire to learn about aviation
- You have an innovative mindset and are eager to take on new challenges in dynamic environment
- You are motivated and enjoy working in a collaborative team player who strives for success
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
- You have knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
- You are eligible to work in Canada and to travel to the United States for a 3-month assignment
- Knowledge of programming languages: Python, C/C++, MATLAB or other is an asset
- Previous internship in the aviation industry is an asset
