Education & Job Requirements
* You must have:
* A bachelor of science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a related discipline OR a master’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of related experience OR a PhD with a minimum of 9 years of related experience.
* A minimum of 15 years of experience working in an electrical or electronic design engineering environment.
* Experience in avionics design within the aerospace or aviation industry.
* U.S. person status for purposes of export compliance. Preferred skills
* You will have:
* Experience with flight management systems, displays, inertial reference systems, SATCOM, multi-mode receivers, radios, and navigation systems.
* Knowledge of ARP4754A, DO-178, and DO-254 certification standards.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to senior leadership.
* Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
* A pilot’s license and/or experience working in the flight deck. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able to:
* Develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements.
* Design hardware, software, and interface specifications.
* Test and validate system designs to ensure operational and functional requirements are met.
* Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
* Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and certification requirements.
* Resolve issues related to fielded hardware and software across the entire product lifecycle.
* Research emerging technologies for potential application to customer and company business needs.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including lab operations, flight operations, logistics, financial operations, and program leadership.
