ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
Our OptiFlight solution is a key pillar in SITA’s commitment to greener, more sustainable aviation by enabling flight and air traffic optimization.
Reporting to the Service Activation Squad Leader, the Service Activation Engineer is overall responsible for the following key activities:
- Onboarding and delivering contracted opportunities and trials:
- Set up the solution from end to end - from capturing customer requirements to delivery
- Provide training to end users (pilots) as needed
- Analyze the results and communicate with the customer
- Support airlines specific requests regarding the solution
- Provide support to help manage incidents: investigations and troubleshooting
You will collaborate with various functions within SITA FOR AIRCRAFT, such as Engineering & Technology, Product, and other colleagues across the company, located in more than 20 countries (Canada, United States, France, Switzerland, Germany, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Spain, and others).
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own technical project activities from beginning to final delivery
- Follow up with airlines on the success of implementation
- Custom requests/analysis from the airlines
- Investigation of issues with application
- Manage Pilot communication (pilot notification/pilot webinar meeting)
- Manage handovers to internal operation teams
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 years as Flight Operations Engineer or similar roles
- Airlines operations
- Flight dynamics knowledge
- Able to manage pilot discussion on operation and procedures
- Bachelor In Aeronautics Engineering
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Data analysis/Quality check
- Coding knowledge is optional (bash)
