Job Description:
The new Airbus UpNext demonstrator will pave the way to more autonomous flight capacity by integration of new innovative bricks including computer vision.
This position comes with a CDI-C contract for one year and a half, the timeline of the demonstrator.
Main missions:
Your mission will be to develop innovative computer vision algorithms in the range of deep learning algorithms. The work consists in designing and implementing neural network architectures tailored for multi-sensor data processing, developing models for object detection, segmentation, and classification specific to our environment, implementing attention mechanisms and transformers to improve the understanding of spatial and temporal relationships in sensor data. You will also have access to state-of-the art simulation tools to generate synthetic data, enabling accelerated development and testing of advanced models.
We are looking for engineers with competencies in one or more of the following areas with the willingness to learn more.
Leverage a cutting-edge simulator to generate high-quality synthetic datasets for radar, LiDAR, and camera sensors.
Create scenarios that replicate real-world challenges, including adverse weather, varied lighting conditions, and dynamic objects on the taxiway.
Utilize synthetic data for model pre-training and domain adaptation techniques to bridge the gap between simulated and real-world data.
Develop advanced algorithms to enhance radar data interpretation, focusing on noise reduction, object detection, and trajectory prediction.
Create frameworks for integrating radar data with other sensor modalities to achieve robust and accurate sensor fusion.
Preprocess and annotate datasets for deep learning pipelines.
Train and fine-tune models using state-of-the-art architectures and loss functions tailored to multi-modal data.
Optimize models for deployment on embedded systems, focusing on computational efficiency and real-time performance.
Stay updated on advancements in deep learning, including domain adaptation, synthetic-to-real transfer learning, and generative modeling techniques.
Explore novel methods to simulate radar and LiDAR data in high-fidelity environments.
