Summary:
Assist with removal and installation of avionics and electrical components.
Fabricate wire harnesses, perform terminations, ring-out, and functional testing.
Install and modify wiring and electrical components per blueprints and engineering drawings.
Maintain required logs, records, and documentation.
Complete tasks within established timeframes.
Ensure all work meets regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Inspect work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection.
Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow FOD, tool control, 5S, and safety programs.
Maintain and properly use shop equipment and tools.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, YIAW).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
Two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling OR two (2) years of related work experience OR avionics certificate with one (1) year of related experience.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and specifications.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer and software proficiency.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
