Overview of role:
The Senior Aircraft Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring all Airworthiness Directives and Alert SB’s are properly assessed, coordinated and released to maintain aircraft safety standard. Facilitating ADRB, AD Audit and E/C Quality, Process Review, Tech Documents assignment and monitoring.
Key deliverables include:
- Assess, coordinate and release of all airframe, powerplant and components related Airworthiness Directives and relevant Service Bulletins on WestJet fleet to maintain aircraft airworthiness and safety standard. Continuously review and improve relevant processes for effectiveness and improved performance.
- Monitor technical data new releases and revisions such as MPD, TCCA CARs, ADs, SBs, and SLs . issued by regulatory authorities and OEM. Publish periodic status reports to relevant recipients.
- Responsible for compliance review of new / used aircraft inductions and End of Lease.
- Continuously review and improve relevant processes for effectiveness and improved performance. Carry out any technical projects as directed by Line Manager / Aircraft Compliance Group Lead.
- Minimal travel for work
Experience and qualifications:
- Must possess an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License (E or S rating) and/or bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum 3-6 years of experience working in an airline maintenance environment
- Familiarity with Boeing 787, 737 NG/MAX, and DHC-8 400 is preferred
- Proven ability to liaise successfully with other Tech Ops personnel and outside agencies
- Advanced skill level working with TRAX preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional attention to detail
