Job Description SummaryThis role is a part of the Separation Management Office supporting the transition from GE Corporate to GE Aerospace. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the planning and implementing of multiple large scale transition efforts.

The Preboarding Operations Specialist delivers services supporting GE Aerospace pre-boarding processes with subject matter expertise in background systems, centralized background adjudication, and Form I-9/E-Verify compliance and program management. Respond to process queries from employees, managers, and HR managers in a timely and professional manner. Ensures delivery in a professional, high quality and efficient manner. Delivers and may coach less experienced team members in service delivery standards, expectations and established metrics. Provides continuous improvement focus to improve customer service levels and delivery of efficient processes and services.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain background and I-9/E-Verify process work instructions by managing any required changes identified by the Product or Service Delivery teams.
  • Become a subject matter expert for background, drug screening and Form I-9/Background legal requirements and changes. 
  • Own and maintain all process related documentation (SOPs, standard work).
  • Manages day to day support of background adjudication and FCRA processes with vendors. Oversees program, confides with legal as needed and manages escalations. 
  • Assist with Form I-9 audits and compliance requirements, confides with compliance and legal as needed. Responds to inquiries and serves as a subject matter expert for Form I-9 and E-Verify. 
  • Manages day to day support for preboarding related service tickets, processes, transactions, escalation and program/event support (including offer letters, employment agreements, background checks, drug screen and other preboarding documentation and processes).
  • Define, implement, and regularly lead operational KPI reviews in collaboration with Product Leaders in order to identify trends in poor performance, identify root causes, and define countermeasures for the Region Operation Leaders.
  • Builds relationships and provide a positive customer experience with functional stakeholders, external candidates, employees, HRMs and people managers to deliver efficient services.
  • Operate within the compliance guidelines while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times. 
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and with a view to sharing knowledge with other members of the team.
  • Proactively identify and drive continuous improvement projects by interfacing with the Product Team and other regional delivery teams.
  • Learns and applies Lean principles in maintenance of functional standard work.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert for the Employment Agreement / Offer and Pre-Boarding processes.
  • Serve as a mentor to other on the team and provide guidance and coaching others. 

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of relevant experience)
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition
  • Experience with background vendors, such as Sterling, First Advantage, Hire Right or any other global background screening program. 
  • Experience with review, audit and general Form I-9/E-Verify policy.

Pay and Benefits:

  • The pay for this position is $96,900-161,500. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on March 8th, 2024.
