Pre-Production Test & Evaluation Branch members collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to test and implement new hardware and software client technologies.

Duties

The incumbent will be responsible for testing client patching, building the pre-production image(s), managing all aspects of Group Policies and scripts, implementing client baseline configurations, testing client changes, and managing the client portion of the Pre-Production Environment.

As an IT Specialist, you will oversee the pre-production environment. Key responsibilities include maintaining and configuring the pre-production setup, conducting thorough testing of client applications, coordinating changes, and managing lab scheduling. You will monitor and report on pre-production environment system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security measures.

In addition, this position will need to collaborate and effectively communicate with other Branches within AIF, other Directorates within AIT, and outside Stakeholders to achieve optimum results in Pre-production testing. This will include researching vendor and business best practices, analyzing the risk and impact of proposed changes, and evaluating the overall performance and delivery of products to stakeholders.

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H / FG/GS-10-12. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.

Specialized experience is: Experience testing and implementing new hardware and software technologies in a virtual pre-production environment.

In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following has been determined to be a Selective Placement Factor for this position. This means possession of this criterion is part of the minimum qualifications and is essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Applicants who do not possess this criterion are ineligible for further consideration.

SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR (SPF): Skill in configuring pre-production environments to include patching, client imaging, and testing computer applications.

Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.

Salary Range: $96,805 - $150,033
