STS Technical Services is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator to join our team in Milwaukee. In this key role, you will support the HR function through efficient administration and management of payroll, HRIS, and vendor-related processes. Your contributions will directly enhance employee satisfaction and ensure compliance with labor laws and financial regulations.

• Assist employees and managers with payroll and benefit related questions.
• Process government and legal related inquiries including garnishments, unemployment claims, and tax inquiries.
• Oversee and process monthly, quarterly and yearly state and federal reports
• Manage relationships with outsourced payroll vendor, ADP, ADP SmartCompliance and UKG.
• Acting as the first point of contact for employees with payroll queries
• Ensures compliance with company policies (related to payroll, benefits and time & attendance) relevant industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws.
• Support employees, managers and Human Resources team members on wage and hour laws, compliance, and internal & external policy changes
• Assist HR team with various ad hoc projects

• 3-5 years of payroll experience for 500+ employees (hourly and salaried) on the payroll
• Need to understand (or have done) multiple FEIN’s.
• Conducted audits of payroll reviewing the multi-state tax deductions and garnishments.
• Tax analyst skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data managementExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Experience working with ADP and UKG are a plus
