Matrix International, Inc. is seeking mission oriented, experienced candidates for the position of Desk Officer in Northern Virginia. The position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance and Polygraph. The position requires an extensive knowledge of the Intelligence Community (IC) and its objectives, and preference will be given to candidates with experience managing or supporting Human Intelligence (HUMINT) operations or conducting all-source intelligence analysis. Candidates will be expected to work effectively in team environments as well as independently with minimal supervision and will professionally and effectively interact with client personnel at all levels.The primary function of a Desk Officer is to support operational elements by providing research and analysis to meet the clients intelligence collection requirements. Desk Officers will use client-specific databases to conduct all source intelligence research, identify leads, provide operational guidance, and compile reports in support of operations. Desk Officers will serve as the primary point of contract for an overseas office and/or be responsible for a collection of ongoing intelligence cases. Desk Officers will also provide thorough and knowledgeable briefings on analysis and relevant subject matter to client management.Daily activities are wide-ranging and include: conducting in-depth research and delivering written all-source assessments; providing briefings on cases to mid- and senior-level client management; providing operational guidance for ongoing cases; ensuring counterintelligence (CI) issues are identified and mitigated; weighing the risks and benefits of various courses of action and making recommendations; coordinating legal and policy issues affecting overseas offices and/or cases; providing administrative assistance in support of overseas offices and/or personnel; and more.
